Already in the years 1925/26 Poul Henningsen designed the 3-piece lampshade, and the first models, which were created with the help of Louis Poulsen, were shown at a Paris exhibition. This collaboration lasted until the death of Fr. Henningsen in 1967. Throughout his life, Poul Henningsen has been concerned with creating luminaires with glare-free light that cast soft shadows and direct the light cone to the right place. The model PH 80 floor lamp belongs to the 30 models with 3-piece shade series, three of which are outdoor lamps. The luminaire emits diffused and symmetrical light. The primary part of the light is directed downwards, with the opaled acrylic shades creating a pleasant room light. The red color of the upper reflector gives the light a warmer tone.
